Pixelcut Image Processing
For background removal, image upscaling, background generation, and image extension, your image and selected settings are sent to Pixelcut to perform the operation. Its public API materials say input and output images are automatically deleted within 24 hours after processing, but do not state whether images from these four APIs are used for model training. The operator is based in the United States; data may be processed across borders, and the exact processing or storage location is not publicly specified. Results copied to EzImageTool are retained for 24 hours (86400 seconds) and then deleted, after which the download link stops working.
Data Categories
EzImageTool processes the following data categories: (1) Account identifiers provided by Google Sign-In through a third-party authentication provider (Google account email and a stable user subject identifier); (2) Uploaded images for compression or watermark removal; (3) Transaction records including credit purchases, quota usage, and payment metadata; (4) Technical metadata such as the client IP address, browser user-agent, browser trial identifier, and request timestamps for trial limiting, rate limiting, and security.
Purposes of Processing
Data is processed for: providing image compression and watermark removal services; limiting the sign-in-free trial to one use per visitor; managing credit quotas and payment transactions; enforcing rate limits and security protections; delivering localized content; and maintaining service stability.
Guest Trial Identifiers
To limit the sign-in-free trial to one use per visitor, EzImageTool processes the client IP address and a browser trial identifier. Only salted hashes of these two values are stored: the raw IP address and the raw browser trial identifier are never stored. Salted trial hashes are retained for no more than 90 days and are deleted once that period ends. Because the trial check also uses the client IP address, several visitors who share one outbound IP address may be treated as having already used the trial; signed-in users are not subject to this check.
Recipients
Data may be shared with: a third-party authentication provider (sign-in); a third-party image processing service (watermark removal processing); a third-party payment processing service (payment processing); Google Analytics 4 (site traffic measurement); and Baidu Analytics (site traffic measurement, loaded only if you accept all cookies). No data is sold to third parties.
Analytics and Cookies
EzImageTool uses Google Analytics 4 to measure site traffic. It loads when you open a page and stores a randomly generated visitor identifier in cookies whose names begin with "_ga". What is sent is limited to the page path, page URL, page title, the referring page, browser and device characteristics, and an approximate location derived from your IP address; that provider uses your IP address for this purpose and does not make it available to us in analytics reports. Uploaded images, file names, sign-in tokens and payment details are never sent to any analytics provider. Analytics data is kept by that provider under its own retention setting, for at most 14 months. To stop analytics, choose "Necessary only" in the cookie notice: the analytics script is disabled immediately and no further data is sent. Baidu Analytics is loaded only if you choose "Accept all". Your choice is stored in the "ez_cookie_consent" cookie for 12 months; that cookie is essential and is set whichever option you choose. Browsers that send a Global Privacy Control signal are treated as having refused analytics, without you needing to use the notice.
Cross-Border Data Handling
Your data may be transferred to and processed in regions where our service providers operate. See the Cross-Border Data Disclosure for detailed information on approved transfer regions.
Retention and Deletion
Processing results are retained for 24 hours (86400 seconds) after they are generated and are then cleared; once a result is cleared, its original random download path is no longer available. Uploaded images are deleted within 31 minutes of processing completion. Salted trial hashes are retained for no more than 90 days. Transaction records are retained for the approved retention period as disclosed in this policy. Account identifiers are retained while the account exists.
Deletion Rules
Result files are automatically deleted by a scheduled task once the 24-hour (86400-second) retention period ends, and the original random download path stops resolving. Salted trial hashes are removed by a separate scheduled task no later than 90 days after they are created. Database records follow the approved retention schedule. Temporary processing files are deleted immediately upon completion or failure.
Account Deletion
The initial release does not provide a self-service or email-based account deletion channel. Users can sign out at any time, which clears the local session. If you wish to have your data removed, please contact the service operator using the email address on our Contact page.
Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, port, or request deletion of your personal data. Contact the service operator to exercise these rights.
Temporary public GIF input
GIF background removal places the input at a public URL protected by a random token for at most 15 minutes while the asynchronous job runs. The link is revoked and the file deleted within 60 seconds after the job reaches a terminal state.
